Former Wigan Athletic defender Pasquale Bruno is believed to be attempting to fix a move for Eros Pisano to The JJB Stadium.

Bruno, better remembered in Britain for his spell at Hearts, had a short stint at Wigan at the end of his career in 1997.

The Italian is working on finding a Premier League club for Pisa defender Pisano and is understood to have contacted Steve Bruce about the possibility of thrashing out a deal.

Italian sources suggest Reading could be an alternative destination for the 20-year-old defender who is currently playing in Serie B.
