Andrea Pirlo has confirmed major financial cut-backs at fallen giants AC Milan. Speaking with Tuttosport, Pirlo reflected the feeling amongst the players with the summer market now open.

"I'm not expecting big news from the market," he confessed.

Not only amongst the fans, but also inside the locker room there is now a feeling of resignation about Milan's ambitions this summer. The prospect of big name signings to compete with Inter's stars now appears even more remote, as Pirlo hinted this morning.
