Robert Pires' transfer to Aston Villa has been complete, with the Frenchman joining the West Midlands club for the rest of the Premier League season.
The 37-year old former Arsenal star was released by Spanish club Villarreal last summer but has been snapped up by Gerard Houllier who worked quickly when he heard the World Cup winner had been training with the Gunners to keep fitness up.
Ironically, Pires could be set for his first match in Vila colours when they take on Arsenal at Villa Park on November 27.
