Robert Pires is confident of his place in Villarreal coach Ernesto Valverde's plans this season.

The former Arsenal star said: "A season is long and you will always have injuries or any kind of inconvenience.

"So we all have to get it into our heads that you're not always going to play, so we must seize the opportunities when they arrive."
