Gerard Pique has sent a message to former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney to join him at Barcelona.

If he still wants out, Pique has assured Rooney that he will be made to feel at home at the Nou Camp.

Pique, who played alongside Rooney during his United spell, said: "I know he has what is needed to be one of the three best players in the world alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo."
