Gerard Pique is of the belief that Manchester City now sits at the same level as his Barcelona.
The Catalan side take on the Eastlands outfit at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg on Tuesday night and the Spain defender is expecting a contest of high standards against a top quality opponent.
"(Alvaro) Negredo is an exceptional player," Pique said.
"He's had an excellent season but there's not just him. (Yaya) Toure, (Samir) Nasri, (Edin) Dzeko - they can all score goals.
"So, We have to be very aware of set-pieces and defend them well. We have to be careful not to concede too many fouls.
"They lost against Chelsea (in the Premier League last week) but won against them in the FA Cup the other day (Saturday).
"Obviously we are on the same level now."
