Gerard Pique will return for preseason training this week and go straight into crunch talks with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

AS says the Barca defender is yet to formally speak with Bartomeu over the fallout from the Antoine Griezmann documentary before this summer's World Cup.

Pique's company produced the doco in which Griezmann announced he was rejecting an offer from Barca and staying with Atletico for the new season.

The whole situation left Barca with some embarrassment and Pique admitted during the World Cup that Bartomeu was angered by the film.

A formal meeting is now being scheduled between the two - and vice-president Jordi Mestre - where Pique is expected to be informally reprimanded for his involvement.
