Gerard Pique has defended the scratchy form of Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi.

Messi is struggling to find the back of the net for Barca.

"He's playing well. Of course he wants to score more because he demands a lot from himself. He might not always score but he does do great things on the pitch. It's fine if Leo does this. There is a high level of expectation. It's like he always has to score," insisted Pique.
