Gerard Pique has backed Barcelona's move for Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.
The pair played together at Manchester United.
"I know that Rossi is grateful to Villarreal for giving him such notoriety, but the time has come for him to make that step up in quality," explained Piqué at a Nike promotional event.
"He would have no problems settling in at Barcelona, knowing his touch and movement off the ball."
