Lazio boss Stefano Pioli was delighted with their 3-0 win over Atalanta.

Lazio won through a Stefano Mauri brace and Senad Lulic diving header.

"We played with determination and intelligence, showing tactical maturity," Pioli told Sky Sport Italia.

"We should've been more precise in the first half and make more of the wings. In all honesty, we wanted to start aggressive, but got better as the game went on and became sharper, especially when running into space.

"The important thing is that the team works as a solid unit. Today the full-backs pushed forward a lot and we can improve that further."
