Steven Pienaar swapped the security of regular football at Everton for possible European glory with Tottenham and believes it was a gamble worth taking. The South African admits he is ambitious and always hoped he would get the opportunity to test himself at the very "highest level".
The 28 year old will get that chance at Spurs, with Harry Redknapp's men through to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League and going well in the Premier League.
"I'm looking forward to every game, also the Champions League," he said.
"It's every player's wish to compete there at the highest level and to have that opportunity at the age of 28, I consider it an honour.
"The move is something new, it's a new club, a new city. You have to get used to your surroundings.
"Time will tell if I made the right move, for me it's a challenge, that's why you play football, for the challenges.
"You have to take risks and that's the risk I took."
