Stephen Pienaar has revealed how a former Everton trialist convinced him about moving to Goodison Park.

The on-loan South Africa international midfielder said: "I didn't know a lot about Everton but I saw they had a good season in the Premier League and my former colleague, Delron Buckley, came here on trial last summer and told me it was a good team to play for because they want to play football. It was quite exciting for me to hear all that stuff."
