Steven Pienaar says he's ready to fill the boots of injured teammate Mikel Arteta in Everton's midfield.

South African Pienaar, 27, said: "I can certainly take the responsibility to fill the gap left by Mikel's injury.

"If I get an opportunity to create something, it is more or less teamwork. We are big on supporting each other."
