Steven Pienaar was delighted to feature for Everton in their draw at Swansea City.

His appearance from the bench on 28 minutes was his first in a competitive Everton fixture since mid-December, after spending the last four months recovering from a knee problem.

"To be fair, I was quite nervous," Pienaar told evertontv: "It's been a while so I got a feeling of 'wow, I'm going on the pitch'. I didn't expect it to happen so early in the game.

"Personally I was happy to be on the field after such a long time. Now I'm going to take it day by day and enjoy every moment [for the rest of the season]."
