Stephen Pienaar says Everton's shallow squad has been a factor in their form slide in recent weeks.

He told evertonTV: "It is one of the worst games I have played for a long time. And I think that the team was just tired and it's getting at us playing so many games.

"I think maybe for ten minutes in the second half we started to show intent again. They have some quality players in their team and it's just difficult to beat them."
