Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is delighted to be working with keeper coach Martyn Margetson.
Pickford has singled out Everton coach Margetson for praise after winning the 2017 England U21 Player of the Year.
Margetson joined Everton following Sam Allardyce's arrival at the club and Pickford picked him out as one of his biggest influences after he won the award.
Pickford said: “It is great to win the award. I felt I had a good year – I tried my best and put in some good performances.
“I have put in a lot of hard work over the past few years, playing not just for England Under-21s but also the international levels below.
“There have been a number of goalkeeper coaches who have helped me along the way.
“Mark Prudhoe was my first coach at Sunderland and I still keep in touch with him today.
“Martyn Margetson is also here at Everton now, which is great, and over the years, and throughout the system, I have worked with some great goalkeeper coaches.
“Martin Thomas [an FA coach], Simon Smith [formerly a goalkeeper coach with England's development teams] and Tim Dittmer, who was with the Under-21s, all brought some good ideas to my game and helped my development."
