Wellington Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert wants players in scoring positions to stop wasting golden opportunities. Ahead of an important away clash with the Perth Glory, Herbert this week has rued the fact that his side should've got the chocolates against Queensland last week but came up short due to poor finishing. "We're the type of team were you're always thinking it's just around the corner, that we might just put three or four past somebody," Herbert said. "But you've got to have the quality to do that and we've got to be a hell of a lot more ruthless in that front third of the pitch. "It's not that we're not getting players into good positions - we are - but we have to increase our percentages in shots on target because we're probably way down in terms of the capabilities of what the side can achieve." The Phoenix go in relatively unchanged to the side that lost to the Roar 1-0 and although strikers Shane Smeltz and Vaughan Coveny have been in good touch, the goals haven't been coming frequently enough for Herbert's liking. "We haven't scored enough goals (eight in nine matches) but we are tough to break down at the moment and that's giving us opportunities to win football games. We just need to take the chances that are coming our way," Herbert added. Perth Glory have been buoyed by the return of striker Eugene Dadi who was in scintillating form before he was injured and the club will be looking to redeem themselves from letting Adelaide United run over the top of them last week.
