Phillips still confident QPR will beat drop

QPR winger Matt Phillips remains convinced they'll beat the drop.

Time is running out for QPR to climb clear of the relegation zone. They face West Ham at home tomorrow, before Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle and fellow relegation candidates Leicester on the final day.

"We are happy with the games we have left," Phillips told the London Evening Standard.

"It is not like we would have gone into any match thinking we might not get a point but if we perform the way we can, I'm sure we can get the wins we want.

"We need to beat West Ham first. The form we have been in as a team, we have not picked up as many points as we should have. A few late goals has killed us, like against Chelsea.

"We have lost too many at home lately [seven in a row] and that has to change. The performances have been right up there, now we just have to get a win."
