Matt Phillips made his debut for Blackpool in last night's friendly against Jelgava.
The Seasiders were in Latvia to open Jelgava's new stadium.
Phillips, a signing this week from Wycombe Wanderers, was given a half and impressed in the 2-1 defeat.
Fellow new arrival DJ Campbell lasted the full 90 minutes - and created Brett Ormerod's goal - in an otherwise second string side which was missing six first team regulars.
