Kevin Phillips is eager to see West Brom teammate Zoltan Gera sign a new contract.

Gera is being watched by Premiership clubs, including Middlesbrough and Aston Villa, and Phillips says: "We saw on Saturday what Zoltan can do. Zoltan Gera is a player that thrives on confidence. He has got three goals in two games and that is tremendous for him.

"I would love to see him stay but at the end of the day it is up to the player and the club to make him want to stay. We will just have to wait and see, but we won't worry about that. We will just hope he continues performing the way he did on Saturday."
