Stoke City defender Philipp Wollscheid won't be staying with VfL Wolfsburg.

On-loan to the end of the season, Wollscheid will be returning to parent club Stoke this summer.

Kicker says Wolfsburg have already decided not to seek to sign the defender permanently.

Wollsheid has only just worked his way back into the first team squad after spending time with the reserves.

At Stoke, the centre-half also faces an uncertain future.
