Philadelphia Union has traded forward Danny Mwanga to the Portland Timbers in exchange for Colombian forward Jorge Perlaza.
20-year old Mwanga, originally taken with the first overall selection in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, has been sent to Portland after producing twelve goals and eight assists in 60 appearances.
Coming in to the Union line-up is 26-year old Perlaza who joined the Timbers in 2011 where he scored six goals and added two assists in his first season before making 10 appearances in 2012.
