Philadelphia Union's Nowak plays down Hearts rumours

Philadelphia Union head coach Peter Nowak has distanced himself from the Heart of Midlothian management role.

A recent report in the Edinburgh Evening News suggested that Nowak had submitted a resume to Hearts in a bid to be brought in by owner Vladimir Romanov as Paulo Sergio's replacement but he has since poured cold water over that speculation.

The Daily News contacted Nowak via text message regarding the talk with his reply a blunt 'absolute false' suggesting that the stories of him wanting the Tynecastle job are certainly untrue.
