Philadelphia Union's Nowak to coach MLS All-Stars against Chelsea

Philadelphia Union head coach Peter Nowak has been appointed as the 2012 MLS All-Star coach.

The 47-year old will lead Major League Soccer's Best XI into battle against the Premier League giants at PPL Park on July 25 and he is looking for a second win over the Blues after his 2006 All-Star side won 1-0 in Illinois.

"It's always a great honor to coach the all-star game," Nowak said.

"2006 was a long time ago … but I think that was one of the few wins against Jose Mourinho and Chelsea at that time."

He added: "It was a great camaraderie we had. It was a good group and everyone was on board to try to win the game. Dwayne De Rosario scored a great goal [20] minutes before the game ended and the boys held up pretty good because Chelsea was coming.

"They were not happy to lose that game. Jose Mourinho was not happy either."
