Philadelphia Union's home ground opener sold out

Philadelphia Union's first match at their new stadium, PPL Park, has sold out….in five hours.

The MLS expansion franchise will play their first match at the venue against the Seattle Sounders on June 27 and it has been confirmed it will be in front of a sell-out crowd.

"The incredible reaction we just saw to the first match at PPL Park reaffirms once again the excitement and passion that we witnessed from Union fans during our first two home games," said Union CEO & Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz. "The intimacy of PPL Park will create the type of intense in-stadium atmosphere that soccer is known for worldwide. We can't wait to welcome our supporters into their new home on June 27th."

Tickets for all other PPL Park matches are still available.
