Philadelphia Union's hat-trick hero Le Toux praises teammates

Philadelphia Union's hat-trick hero Sebastien Le Toux has praised his teammates for helping him grab a trio of goals in the franchise's first MLS victory on the weekend.

The Frenchman netted in the 5th, 40th and 80th minutes to guide his side to a 3-2 win over DC United but preferred to share the glory with his teammates rather than bask in it himself.

"I was very lucky tonight," said Le Toux. "I scored three goals, I missed some too, but all my teammates did a great job and I just finished my chances.

"Roger (Torres) gave me a great cross. I just took it with my head and I scored."

Le Toux's third goal was his best - a free-kick from the top of the penalty arc - but he said there was not much science to it.

"I just saw the little hole and I shot the ball as strong as I could and the keeper was surprised," he added.

And Union goalkeeper Chris Seitz was delighted that Le Toux came through with the goods after he allowed DCU to score their first goals of the campaign.

"Yes I was (happy)," he said. "I can't thank him enough, and I've gone up to him twice already. As I said before, big players step up in big moments, and Sebastian stepped up tonight."
