John Hackworth has returned to South America in a bid to find a quality playmaker for the Philadelphia Union.
The Union head coach travelled to the same region last year to cast an eye over a number of players the club has shortlisted but nothing eventuated as he dealt with salary cap issues.
However, it appears as though those problems have dissolved to a degree leaving Hackworth to pick up where he left off in search of an attacking player with some South American flair.
"There were some guys on our list last year that we couldn't get," Hackworth told MLSsoccer.com. "And they're on our list again."
Of a playmaker, Hackworth added: "That's our number one priority, for sure. We need somebody that can come in and play at the highest level."
