Philadelphia Union midfielder Fred is reportedly wanted by A-League club Perth Glory on loan. Fourfourtwo suggests that the Glory are hoping to bring the 31-year old Brazilian in during the MLS off-season as they struggle to break a four-game losing streak.

Fred has experienced the Australian league in the past, producing a brilliant season for the championship-winning Melbourne Victory in 2006/07 and undertaking a short stint with the Wellington Phoenix in 2008.

He then moved onto DC United in 2009 before begin signed by first-year outfit Phillie at the start of the 2010 season.
