Philadelphia Union have waived veteran midfielder Eduardo Coudet less than six months after he joined the side.

The 36-year old Argentine was acquired by the Union through a free transfer from homeland club Atletico Colon on July 22, 2010 but has now been release by the Union.

He made nine MLS appearances in the 2010 season after playing his first game in a Union shirt in a friendly against Scottish giants Celtic.

Coudet has spent most of his career in Argentina, playing with the likes of Platense, Rosario Central, River Plate and San Lorenzo. He has also played in Mexico with San Luis and Necaxa.
