Philadelphia Union ready for SuperDraft

Incoming MLS franchise Philadelphia Union are prepared for Wednesday's SuperDraft which will see them get their playing roster under way for their debut season.

The Union are able to take unprotected players from rival MLS clubs and head coach Peter Nowak said the plan was in place for draft day.

"We will choose ten players from the 15 existing teams in Major League Soccer," he said. "We can only take one player from each team. As soon as we take one player from, say, Columbus or the New England Revolution, that team is done, so we have to look in a different direction."

The Union are the 16th franchise to join MLS and will kick off in the 2010 season, playing their first game against the 15th club to enter, the Seattle Sounders.
