Philadelphia Union have confirmed that they are in negotiations with an unnamed club regarding the potential transfer of Carlos Valdes.
The 29-year old Colombian defender is a target for Uruguayan side Nacional de Montevideo and could be on his way out the Philly exit door if Monday's comments from sporting director Chris Albright are anything to go by.
"All I can say regarding Carlos is there's a negotiation ongoing," Albright told reporters.
"Nothing is finalized as of yet. We hope to have further news shortly but in the interest of the negotiation, we're going to resist commenting any further."
Valdes joined the Union from Independiente Santa Fe in 2011 and has made close to 70 MLS appearances surrounding loans with Santa Fe and San Lorenzo in 2013 and 2014.
