Philadelphia Union bring in goalkeeper Holt

Philadelphia Union have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Brian Holt.

The 25-year old joins the Union after spending time with USL PDL club Reading United (in 2011) and USL PRO outfit Harrisburg City Islanders (2012).

Holt, who was a starter at Creighton University between 2008 and 2011, joins Union number one Zac MacMath and 2014 MLS SuperDraft pick number one Andre Blake as the keepers in the Philly squad.

"Brian is a tremendous competitor and we have seen a lot of his dedication, hard work and resolve while he trained with us last year," head coach John Hackworth said.

"We're really happy to have him as part of our team going into the season."
