Philadelphia Union have acquired the services of striker Josue Martinez from Deportivo Saprissa.
The 21-year old Costa Rican international will be available to the Union pending his visa and international transfer certificate.
Martinez comes to Philadelphia as a highly-rated player in his homeland and Al Dia soccer write Kenneth Hernandez is confident he will make it in MLS.
"Martinez is a player for the future," Hernandez told MLSsoccer.com. "He's still young and he has a lot to give. But he's just 21 and he needs to establish himself as a forward who responds with goals.
"I think he can grow even more in MLS. He needs to take advantage of this opportunity."
Martinez has been with Saprissa since 2009 and has scored 18 goals in 43 appearances as well as representing Costa Rica on 11 occasions and scoring five goals.
