Former Manchester United and Everton captain Phil Neville is being considered for the England U21 job.
The Daily Mail says the FA is preparing to interview candidates for the England Under 21 job, the clearest indication yet that they are considering the likes of Paul Clement and Neville for the job.
Aidy Boothroyd is the current stand-in Under 21 manager, having stepped up when the previous incumbent, Gareth Southgate, took over the first team.
But now that Southgate has been given the senior job on a permanent basis, the Under 21 job will be advertised and interviews conducted after Christmas.
