Mike Phelan is eager to negotiate a full-time appointment with Hull City.

The caretaker manager is waiting to hear from the club's new owners.

"I'm in charge of this group of players and I really enjoy it," Phelan said. "It's just a case now for who makes the decisions, when they make the decisions and let's crack on and let's do it properly.

"There's nothing been arranged, it's not as if it's in my diary but I'm hoping and I'm sure it will happen.

"I don't think I'm doing too much wrong so I'll enjoy it while I can and hopefully the reward will be there — which is the permanent appointment."
