Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan says they didn't miss Wayne Rooney in their 1-0 win at Wolves.

Rooney missed the win with a knee strain.

"I don't know whether Wayne Rooney would have added anything to that performance," said Phelan.

"We've got good players. Dimitar (Berbatov) did extremely well up there on his own and he got the support from other players in midfield and that was the tactic of the game so we are going to miss people like Wayne Rooney just like we miss other players at times but a performance like that today, we got the result that we wanted."
