Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan insists they should be good enough to beat Blackburn Rovers without Wayne Rooney.
United lacked Rooney's spark in yesterday's 0-0 draw at Ewood Park.
But Phelan says: "No, we can't rely on that situation. Wayne's having an exceptional season, we can't get away from that fact, but this is Manchester United with other quality players in the squad and at times you are going to miss people but when that happens, other people have to come to the front and they have to show the calibre that have brought them to the club in the first place.
"Nil-nil result, we don't get many of them but Blackburn's record this year at home has been particularly good and they have taken points off most teams so on some ways we can say that it was a difficult game but we've got to be disappointed that we didn't score a goal."
