PFA chief Gordon Taylor wants netting introduced at grounds in the aftermath of Manchester United's victory at Manchester City.
Taylor believes netting should be installed around areas of the pitch for the protection of players after Rio Ferdinand was cut above the eye by a coin thrown from the crowd during the Manchester derby.
Taylor told BBC Radio 5 Live: "I think you've got to give consideration to possibly, as has been suggested, some netting in vulnerable areas, be it behind the goals and round the corner flags."
