Stiliyan Petrov admits winning back his place at Aston Villa has been one of the biggest challenges in his career.

After victory over Derby, the Bulgarian midfielder told avfc.co.uk: "It was good for me to get another start. I've always said it's about being a team and it doesn't matter who starts game or who comes off the bench. It's important how we do as a team and where we finish at the end of the season.

"This has been a big challenge for me, to force my way back into the team. Like everybody else, nobody is safe, so we're all working hard and trying to get our place in the team."
