Stiliyan Petrov has urged Aston Villa teammates not to dwell on their blank against Fulham on Saturday.

The former Celtic midfielder told AVTV: "The big teams don't make a big deal of losing or drawing - they get their heads up and move into another gear to ensure their next result is better. We need to do that.

"Even if things don't go as planned, we need to pick ourselves up and keep going.

"People are talking about us in this 'top four' category and obviously teams who come to Villa Park will want to show what they can do against us. They raise their games.

"They think: 'We'll show them!" But we have to handle that. If we want to be in the top four, we should expect that."
