He said: "It's a big challenge, it's a different league. Everywhere you go if you want to win a game it's hard.
"You need to work very hard. Probably in the Premiership in every team you have two or three special players, and maybe that's the only difference."
But he added: "I'm settled now, I have always said that as long as I can play football I am always happy.
"I have got my family with me and Martin O'Neill brought a lot of faces from Celtic.
"His backroom is maybe 70% of the backroom staff from Celtic - the fitness coach, the doctor, the assistant coaches - it was like home from home."
