Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic is eager to keep his players grounded after victory over Palermo.

The Rome club boast a 100 per cent record so far this season.

"Tonight we proved that we can keep a good tempo and made further progress," he said after a 3-0 win over Palermo.

"I compliment the team for their performance. However, just as we weren't terrible during the summer, we are not now phenomenal.

"We have to work game by game. I knew the job ahead of me and the team could not have been sharp in August.

"We are doing better every day and that is very important."
