Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson is emerging as the preferred candidate to take over as QPR manager.
The Daily Mail says Ferguson, 36, and the son of Manchester United's Sir Alex, has impressed with his work at League One Peterborough and fits the profile required for QPR's ambitious owners as a young, hungry manager.
Terry Venables, Sam Allardyce and former Italy keeper Walter Zenga, coach at Serie A side Catania, have all been linked with the job.
