Peterborough make move for two managers

Peterborough have made approaches for Brentford boss Andy Scott and Kettering chief Mark Cooper about the vacant manager's job at London Road. Scott is highly-regarded in football circles following his work at Griffin Park.

The 37-year-old was handed the Brentford job in January 2008 after impressing on a caretaker basis and in his first full season in charge he guided the side to the League Two title.

Cooper is regarded as one of the best managers outside the Football League and has guided Kettering to the second round of the FA Cup this season.

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony is keen to have a new manager in charge by the weekend and he will be hoping to be given permission to speak to Scott as he looks to lure him to London Road.
