Peterborough United are eyeing Birmingham City defender Krystian Pearce.

The Birmingham Mail says Barry Fry's Peterborough are weighing up a loan move for youngster Pearce.

The Posh are trying to buy highly-rated Josh Thompson from Stockport County, but are having no joy. So director of football Fry and manager Darren Ferguson are considering Blues centre-half Pearce instead.

Blues have stated that they would be willing to loan Pearce to a Championship club to gain more experience.

The England youth cap, 19, spent last season with Scunthorpe United and spent time training with both West Brom and Manchester United.
