Peterborough face MK Dons in the play-offs for a place in the Championship and according to Posh chairman Barry Fry promotion could be worth £4m to the club. Fry said: "If we go up we start with an extra £3.5 million, maybe even £4 million just from the Football League award money.
"We would obviously expect higher gates as well, but we will be hit by the changes to the ground.
"For example if we hosted West Ham in the Championship, their fans would want 5,000 tickets, but we could only give them 1,200 at most.
"That would be a blow for us, but the work on the ground has to be done."
