Peterborough United hope to extend the loan of Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe.

Posh football chief Barry Fry says manager Darren Ferguson hopes to keep hold of the youngster.

Fry said: "Hopefully Darren can persuade the boy and Manchester United to keep him here till the end of the season and, if that is the case, it will be a great signing for us. When we took him, Sir Alex did say that he only wanted him out until January, so we will have to just cross our fingers and hope he changes his mind on that one."
