Peterborough chief MacAnthony: We will not change offer for St Johnstone's May

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has criticised St Johnstone for their handling of the Posh's pursuit of Stevie May.

MacAnthony confirmed that his club made a bid for the 20-year old striker and suggested that the Saints had agreed terms except for the manner in which they would pay the English club.

MacAnthony took to Twitter to react to comments made by St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright who felt May should stay in Perth which would allow a 'bigger club' to look at him.

But the Posh chief was negative in his comments towards Wright and the Saints, saying his club would not bow to perceived media pressure to pay for a player outside their terms.
