Peterborough United chief Barry Fry insist Tottenham have not been in contact about George Boyd.

Boyd was linked with a £6 million move to Spurs yesterday.

Fry, the director of football at London Road, told the Peterborough Telegraph: "I have had no contact from Harry Redknapp about Boyd or Gordon Strachan about Mackail-Smith so there is nothing in those reports.

"And several journalists have asked me about Darren going to Hull which is also nonsense as far as I'm concerned.

"I spoke to Darren yesterday and obviously he is down because of the results, but he is very confident that things will turn around."
