Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson is keen to sign permanently on-loan Fulham defender Gabriel Zakuani.
"The loan deal has been a great chance for both parties to have a look at each other. Gaby has done extremely well and I now need to sit down with him and have a good chat," Ferguson told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
"We have got a few days between Saturday and the FA Cup game the following weekend to try and sort a few things out.
"There is an agreement in place with Fulham for a permanent deal that will go through providing we can agree terms with Gaby. We will be paying money for him, but it will be well spent in my opinion.
"We haven't lost a football match while Gaby has been at the club. He is an out and out defender with a lot of pace and he has formed a great partnership with Craig Morgan."
